Methodology Note
Tesla does not publicly disclose the number of active Full Self-Driving (FSD) users. To estimate real-world adoption, we triangulate Tesla-reported daily FSD miles driven with average daily driving distances in the United States. This approach intentionally focuses on regular or high-frequency usage—drivers who rely on FSD weekly or daily—rather than total access, experimentation, or subscription counts. As a result, the lower funnel represents behavioral adoption, not feature availability.
