He is a veteran technology journalist, having served as global managing editor of TechCrunch, editor in charge of technology and climate coverage for CNBC, founding editor of CITEworld for IDG Enterprise, and executive editor at Business Insider. He was also an analyst at Directions on Microsoft from 2000 to 2010, and got his start at CNET in 1995.
